It also removes the lag on accelration when in full stop when you tap the throttle. Now it shifting to 6th gear at 65-70km/h. Before I can only see it shift to 6th gear when speed is near 100km/h. The transmission up shift gear much faster. It makes DSG feels like convensional automtic when on D because I can no longer feel the engine brake especially on stop and go.
The effect on DSG shifting if you follow the step carefully is huge. Search DSG basic setting using ODIS and VCDS on youtube VAS 5054 (Gold Plated pin) = Fiber / VCDS & VCP (not gold plated pin) = DSL / Obd11 = Dial up When fault is detected it will tell you exactly what pin, connector or terminal to check and what the spec value should be. The biggest advantage of VAS 5054 (Bluetooth/USB) ODIS it can make anybody without any knowledge on cars to diagnose it professionally as long as the person can use a multimeter. Just make sure to ask the seller if the clone they are selling can connect to VAG server. But I will never recommend them because they are so slow compared to a clone VAS 5054A. The only reason why VCDS is very popular is because of advertising. It's capable of flashing a module which VCDS can't do.
